Powerbook II: Ghost Season 2, Episode 8 Review

It was only an amount of time before the truth will begin to come out on this season of Powerbook II: Ghost. And all it took was for this episode for that to be revealed.

On one side, Tariq found out that Lauren had a wire to record their conversations. And on the other, dinner at Monet’s house did not go too well. Not only did the family find out that Diana slept with Tariq and Cane being the main product connection, the revelation that Zeke’s age and his birthparents set off a firestorm that will not be put out soon. It is always the dinner table that put these secret lies out in the open.

I must say that I love the way it came out on this week’s episode of Powerbook II: Ghost. The acting on these powerful scenes is the best I have seen all season. Kudos for the cast to bring out that raw and emotional energy. To top it off, the exchange between Davis MacLean and Professor Carrie when she took the stand had me thinking “damn Method Man convinced me that he could be a real life lawyer.” Davis made sure to not only end Carrie’s career, but to make his defense argument look spectacular.

Zeke finding Carrie’s body at the end of this week’s Powerbook II: Ghost could me two things. Either Carrie submitted suicide, or Monet killed her and made it look like a suicide. I believe Monet did this. She had a motive after Diana exposed her at the dinner table.

Dru is also starting to go to the dark side has he made his first intentional kill in the series. It makes me wonder if Dru and Cane will eventually clash even more that could result in one of them being dead. I like the direction with Dru!

Only two more episodes left of the season. I have a feeling that the final episode of this season of Powerbook II: Ghost will end with the verdict!
