On The Scene: Standard Sounds Presents the Annie O Music Series

Guests of the Top of the Standard were delighted to a performance by up and coming singer, songwriter Chyrsta Bell.

As part of the Standard Sounds and The Annie O Music Series, this intimate performance was held at the Top of the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. Born in San Antonio, Texas Chrysta Bell has been releasing music commercially since 2011. Her unique ethereal sound captured the attention of attendees who enjoyed cocktails and wine during her performance.

Standard Sounds is part of The Standard’s music division, which seeks to curate a wide array of live music from emerging talent and legends to be performed in the intimate setting of their hotels.

The week before, The Standard, High Line kicked off New York Fashion Week with a special Fashion Week edition of Standard Sings at Top of The Standard! Sophie Auster, an American singer/ songwriter, hosted Standard Sings, with co-host Errickson Wilxcox. The dynamic duo led the exciting evening of karaoke, encouraging guests to join the live acoustic band on stage, and perform their own renditions of top hits, including: Crazy by Cee Lo Green, Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. The crowd sang along, as they enjoyed signature Top of The Standard cocktails while taking in views of the New York City skyline!

The Melbourne-based artist Bel was in attendance. She released recently release a new track called “Better Than Me.”

We were also invited to the Christian Cowan Cocktail Party at The Terrace Restaurant & Outdoor Gardens at the Times Square Edition during New York Fashion Week. Christian Cowan was joined by Orville Peck, Jordan and Zac Stenmark, Yovanna Ventura, Marquita Pring, Emily Danz, Dana Sorrento, Caleb Thill, Ryan Gee, Zoe Lazerson and Drew Jessup.
