Only a week after her striking performance at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, H.E.R. is only getting started. The Bay Area native was recently awarded not one, but two Grammy awards for R&B Album of The Year and Best R&B Performance which is a huge deal for the artist as this is her first year being considered by the Recording Academy and also winning.

While still on a high from her wins, the singer left the warm Cali weather to fly to NYC and perform for 100 of her fans at a private event hosted by popular women’s apparel brand ModCloth on Saturday.

The community-inspired retailer celebrated the opening of their fourth flagship located in SoHo after opening three other stores which they call FitShops in San Francisco, D.C. and Austin.

ModCloth is primarily based online but the company created FitShops where customers are offered a wide range of sizes from XXS to 4X, as well as complimentary fittings and style consultations.

Guests arrived to the event held at The Public Hotel in the Lower East Side where there were ModCloth inspired cocktails and delicious appetizers available to snack on for VIP guests, one of them being Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black star Dascha Polanco.

A DJ kept the hits going all night while everyone danced and mingled while photographers made sure to capture every moment. Once the night began to wind down, H.E.R. graced the stage with an amazing performance of a few songs off of her latest EP “I Used to Know Her” as well as her 2017 Grammy Award winning hit “Best Part” featuring Daniel Caesar.

You can visit the new ModCloth NYC flagship located at 42 Crosby St in SoHo, or shop online at www.modcloth.com.
