On The Scene: Jenna Ortega, Courteney Cox, Demi Lovato, Dylan Minnette and more Attend Scream VI Premiere in NYC

What’s the best part of the newest installment in the Scream trilogy? Besides the cast and the thrills, everyone we asked had the same answer: The location.

In the 6th edition of the iconic slasher franchise, Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) make the decision to leave their hometown of Woodsboro behind, hoping to move on from the horror of the Ghostface attacks of the previous film.  Their decision to land in the big apple sets the scene for a volume of Scream that is bigger and more thrilling than ever. With Ghostface lurking in every corner of the city, the girls, along with twins Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding), are in for a ride they never saw coming.

It only made sense for the day of the premiere to be as New York-esque as possible. After the stars celebrated the release at the top of the Empire State building on Monday morning, they headed to midtown for the world premiere. Taking place at Manhattan’s AMC Lincoln Square, the red carpet was decked out with paraphernalia that would excite any scream fan. The fans were a huge part of the night itself, with specially designated areas all around the carpet where lucky fans could see the excitement up close and chat with the cast, as well as Dylan Minnette and Demi Lovato who stopped for pictures all along the carpet.

In attendance for the glamorous night were Stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Jack Champion, Courteney Cox (& executive producer), Henry Czerny, Mason Gooding, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, Skeet Ulrich, Musicians Demi Lovato and Dylan Minnette, Filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett (directors), William Sherak (producer), James Vanderbilt (writer/producer), Paul Neinstein (producer), Guy Busick (writer), Kevin Williamson (executive producer/based on the characters by), Chad Villella (executive producer), Gary Barber (executive producer), Peter Oillataguerre (executive producer), and Marianne Maddalena (executive producer).
