This past weekend Drake visited New York and made a special two-night appearance at The Apollo theatre in Harlem for SiriusXM. On Saturday January 21 and Sunday January 22 SiriusXM subscribers and VIPS were invited to attend this special event which will air exclusively on Sound 42, Drake’s SiriusXM channel.

Some celebrities in attendance over both nights included “Justin and Hailey Bieber, A$AP Ferg, Kevin Durant, Ice Spice, Odell Beckham Jr., Gayle King, New York Giants including Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Kayvon Thibodeaux, New York Yankees outfielder and reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge, New York City mayor Eric Adams, Richie Akvia, Michael Rubin, Will Makris and more (SiriusXM)”

Over the course of the two nights Drake transformed the stage and took his fans on a journey from his humble beginnings to his rise to fame. Drake opened the show in a replica of his mom’s basement followed by a label boardroom and Harlem Bodega ending in front of The Apollo sign. The show was an homage to dreams Drake had as a young boy and his experiences struggling to achieve the notoriety he finally has today. This was Drake’s first performance at The Apollo as well his first full recent concert in years. Throughout the show Drake performed classics like “Best I Ever Had, Headlines, HYFR (Hell Ya Fucking Right), God’s Plan, One Dance, In My Feelings, and more (SiriusXM).”

Drake brought out Dipset and 21 Savage on both nights at The Apollo, but on Sunday, he brought out surprise performer Lil Uzi and the crowd went crazy. Uzi performed latest hit Just Wanna followed by XO Tour Lif3. After Uzi’s performance Drake spoke about the brotherhood they share and how he was grateful for their friendship. Drake praised everyone he performed alongside from Dipset to 21 Savage and ended the night with a motivating speech about how even far-fetched appearing goals can be achieved if he made it to The Apollo after the haircut he had on Degrassi. It was like attending a tribute concert to a living legend performed by the legend himself.
