On The Scene: ‘Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness’ Virtual Press Conference

Last Sunday, Marvel held a press conference for the upcoming Doctor Strange Sequel, directed by founding father himself, Sam Raimi.

Marvel is back with their latest superhero film Doctor Strange Into the Multiverse of Madness, and we got to sit in on virtual press conference to hear some insider secrets we’ve all been waiting to hear. For those interested in the MCU’s chronology, the film takes place right after the events of Spider Man: No Way Home and bringing Wanda back for the first time since her hit show Wandavision.

The cast of the next MCU chapter, including stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda), Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, writer Michael Waldron, director Sam Raimi (from the original Spider-Man series, and Marvel Studios president and multi-billion dollar producer, Kevin Feige, were all present to walk everyone through the secrets of the multiverse.

Some other questions that were brought up was what it was like to release the film so close to the 20th anniversary of the original Spider-Man series, to which Mr. Feige said “It’s surreal, and as you say, yes, particularly surreal that, that it’s full-circle with Mr. Raimi.”

Without giving too much away, the film is quite ambitious, though not as much as it’s predecessor; however, it is definitely going to give fans what they want. To be completely honest, the film is mostly for the fans and not completely necessary to watch if you don’t keep up with the MCU. But, as mentioned before, if you need to find out what happens next, you better pre-order the tickets before they sell out!

Catch Doctor Strange in theaters, out today!
