On The Scene: Bebe Rexha Rallies for Music Education at Wilshire Ebell Theatre

Bebe Rexha brought the house down at The 11th Annual GRAMMY In The Schools Live! concert at Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Thursday, January 23rd. Presented by the Ford Motor Company Fund, the event is considered a celebration of music and education.

Rexha is a two-time GRAMMY nominee but most importantly, was the 2012 recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Abe Olman Scholarship. Rexha credits this as a turning point in her professional pursuits and changing her life forever.

GRAMMY In The Schools Live! bussed students and educators from all over Los Angeles county to the Wilshire Ebell Theatre to watch Rexha perform her hit “Meant To Be” with a group of GRAMMY program alumni.

“The kids are the future and I think it’s really important to get to them so they can hopefully be a better future,” she told Grammy.com.
