On The Scene: Nylon & Nylon Guys Music Issue Celebration

Last Friday Nylon & Nylon Guys celebrated the release of their music issues.

Nylon threw quite the party last weekend at the House Of Vans in Brooklyn. There were inflatable swans and rainbows, skate ramps, an open bar, a photo booth and even a food truck. The decorations were sweet, but with a subtle edge. The signature cocktails had decorative straws with miniature flags labeled Nylon.

Nylon’s latest music issues were plastered all over the walls providing guests with multiple photo opps. Blondie graced the cover of Nylon’s 2017 music issue in which Charli XCX acted as a guest editor.

Countless influencers and tastemakers like Kitty Cash attended the gathering, as well as many Governor’s-Ball-goers. Chairman of Nylon Marc Luzzatto was also on the scene, along with Nylon’s music editor Keryce Chelsi.

Tove Lo co-hosted the evening with Charli XCX who performed along with CupcakKe. While on stage CupcakKe mentioned how LGBTQ positive the event and vibes were, before performing her hit “LGBT.”  The evening was DJed by Mel DeBarge and Jasmine Solano and the drinks were provided by New Amsterdam Vodka.

The party ended at 1:30, but many guests were not ready to leave the function. Overall the night was fun and definitely filled good music, which only seemed fitting for the music issue celebration.
