NYFW AW 2020: Fix and Fax by Katya Leonovich

The streets are alive as New York City embraces Fashion Week AW 2020. Guests flowed into Studio B at Pier 59 Studios to attend the Fix & Fax show by Katya Leonovich.

On Thursday, February 6, Katya held her second menswear show, showcasing a collection that combines art with fashion in order to create a unique look for the modern male. For her AW collection, Leonovich drew inspiration from vibrantly colored species in the animal kingdom and her own pet rats, which had become the basis for a series of paintings emulating Frank Sinatra’s own Rat Pack. For her latest collection, Katya utilized bright colors and luxurious fabrics imagining a modern take on Sinatra’s pack. Likewise, Fix & Fax FW 2020 utilizes Indian silk, sheer organza, nylon, and pop art print stretch fabrications that dazzled on the runway.

Katya is no stranger to fashion shows, having previously showcased collections in fashion capitals of Paris, Milan and Moscow in the early 2000’s. Born in Russia, Katya graduated from the Fashion Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow, furthering her studies at Studio Bercot in Paris and Instituto de Europe Design in Italy.
