New Music Roundup: Releases You May Have Missed

The weekend is finally here! Celebrate with gorgeous releases from KLLO, Tyler Lawrence, Shogun, and more.

KLLO – MAYBE WE COULD [GOOD MANNERS]

Electronic pop duo Chloe Kaul and Simon Lam – known to most as KLLO – return with their first album in three years, a stunning concoction of heart-wrenching melodies, hypnotic beats, and emotive chords. Following a two year hiatus from recording music together, which allowed them to reset and explore solo careers, the pair have reunited to deliver one of their most vulnerable and strongest works yet. Maybe We Could marks a new era for KLLO and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

TYLER LAWRENCE – SLOW IT DOWN

A promising visionary within the world of electronic music, Tyler Lawrence follows up his heavy-hitting single “The Heet” with a sultry smooth “Slow It Down.” “Slow It Down” enlists powerful vocals, both captivating and catchy. Sonic sound waves and the soft echoing of “Slow It Down” entice listeners throughout, as Tyler Lawrence adds stunning production flare. A glittery single with promise, Tyler Lawrence adds to his rapidly growing catalogue with a glowing sentiment from the heart.

FAKE PICTURES x MUNA – WIRE TO WIRE [UNIVERSAL MUSIC]

With an intriguing fusion of electronic dance and tropical house, Fake Pictures have caught the attention of fans and industry professionals several times in the past. Joining forces with Muna, the anonymous duo have created a galvanizing rendition of a classic. The original by the indie rock band Razorlight from 2008 was already a worldwide success and now the producers and Muna are offering an excellent club update.

SHOGUN – F*CK UP THE PARTY [SONY MUSIC]

Shogun is back with ‘F*ck Up The Party’, another exhilarating addition to his ever-flourishing catalogue. Sultry vocals, contemplative piano chords, and an infectiously atmospheric beat start out Shogun’s latest nearly three-and-a-half minute sonic offering. The track quickly picks up its pace, with an upbeat tempo that effortlessly gives way to a more energetic tone. This fun, uplifting shift can be heard in the lyrics as well, in turn creating a certified summer party  hit. A truly dynamic artist through-and-through, Shogun’s ‘F*ck Up the Party’ serves as a firm testament to the California-based DJ/producer’s progressive versatility in the studio.

VIZE x IMANBEK x DIETER BOHLEN – BROTHER LOUIE FT. LEONY [ULTRA RECORDS]

Revamping an `80s classic, VIZE, Imanbek & Modern Talking’s very own Dieter Bohlen put a nuanced spin on Modern Talking’s 1986 release “Brother Louie.” A four-on-the-floor, versatile feat, the 2020 take on “Brother Louie” is suited for new and old fans alike. VIZE and Imanbek flex their house production prowess through sweltering beats and impressive synth work. Leony’s sultry vocals add full-bodied flare to the already burgeoning track, making the bustling backsound ripe with singalong power.
