We got the chance to join Netflix and Sony Pictures Television at The Standard, High Line in New York City for a special two-part celebration in honor of the upcoming series BOOTS.
The afternoon perfectly captured the heart of the show friendship, resilience, and the journey of self-discovery with an experience that blended conversation, connection, and a touch of Marine-inspired fun. The event kicked off with Clips & Conversation, featuring cast members Miles Heizer, Max Parker, Liam Oh, Angus O’Brien, alongside creator and co-showrunner Andy Parker and showrunner Jennifer Cecil. Moderated by Tommy DiDario, the discussion offered an exclusive look at the season through a series of never-before-seen clips. The cast reflected on their characters’ growth, the emotional core of the series, and the balance of humor and heart that defines BOOTS.
The room was filled with members of the press, influencers, and special guests, among them, cast members Dominic Goodman, Blake Burt, Brandon Tyler Moore, and executive producers Rachel Davidson, Brent Miller, Scott Hornbacher, along with co-executive producer and The Pink Marine author Greg Cope White, whose memoir inspired the series. After the panel, the energy shifted outdoors for “BOOTSCamp,” a spirited Marine-inspired activation led by drill sergeants and cast members. Guests were divided into teams to tackle obstacle courses and team challenges, channeling their inner recruits for a chance to earn the coveted title of Squad Leader. With souvenir pins and bragging rights on the line, the friendly competition brought plenty of laughs and team spirit.
BOOTS premieres soon on Netflix, and if the energy of this event was any indication, viewers can expect a heartfelt and inspiring ride.
