Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar Opens in Nora District

The lively taco and seafood concept from Broadway Restaurant Group has officially opened in West Palm Beach, marking the brand’s third location and first expansion outside Massachusetts. Since launching in Boston in 2015, Loco has built a following for its bold Mexican-inspired menu, fresh oysters and energetic atmosphere designed for gathering with friends.

At the new Nora District location, guests can expect indoor and outdoor seating, multiple bars and a social setting that often features DJs and live music.

“We opened Loco to create a place where people could escape,” said co-owner Mike Shaw. “We fell in love with West Palm over the past few years and think it’s the perfect city for our next taco shop.”

The menu highlights fresh, housemade elements, including daily-pressed tortillas and seasoned tortilla chips served with guacamole. Standout dishes include crispy cod tacos topped with cilantro-lime slaw and chipotle aioli, as well as birria tacos made with braised short rib and Oaxaca cheese served with a savory dipping broth. A rotating selection of fresh oysters is also available, reinforcing the restaurant’s seafood-forward identity alongside its taco offerings.

Cocktails play a major role in the experience, with signature margaritas like the Coco, made with blanco tequila, lime and coconut, and the Britney, featuring blueberry-mint syrup, lemon and watermelon. The spicy Little Devil cocktail adds jalapeño-infused tequila and black currant to the mix.

The kitchen is led by executive chef Omar Martinez, whose background includes Major Food Group as well as acclaimed kitchens such as Stubborn Seed and Red Rooster.

Located at 840 N. Railroad Ave., Loco brings its upbeat taco shop energy to one of West Palm Beach’s fastest-growing districts.
