The Hollywood Christmas Parade officially kicks off Holiday Season, and it’s celebrating its 92nd year of holiday fun!
Since 1928 the live Hollywood Christmas Parade has been a loved and cherished annual holiday tradition enjoyed by Angelenos, as well as by millions watching the televised airings of the parade nationally on The CW Network and internationally on Armed Forces Network around the world. The only exceptions were during World War II from 1942 to 1944 when the parade wasn’t presented, and in 2020, when a highlights telecast of parades over the last 10 years was presented, due to the COVID 19 global pandemic. The parade was then presented live again in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and returned again this year to celebrate its 92nd Anniversary live in the streets of Hollywood, CA! The live parade featured 5,000 participants, taped for multiple nationwide network television broadcasts to be aired during the holiday season. The parade traveled along a 3.2 mile U-shaped route starting at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard traveling east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, turning south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and then turning west on Sunset Boulevard traveling back to Orange Street.
The 92nd Anniversary of The Hollywood Christmas Parade Supporting Marine Toys for Tots, was presented by Associated Television and The City of Los Angeles, brought the Christmas spirit to Hollywood! Jeremy Renner, Oscar® Nominated Actor, Musician, Philanthropist and Founder of the RennerVation Foundation, served as this year’s Grand Marshal of the Parade.
“This is where there’s a little bit of community that comes together,” Jeremy Renner said. “I think it’s the first time that I’ve come here and I’m not promoting a movie…what are we actually really promoting today – love, kindness, magic, the belief in something that’s really beautiful!”
Jeremy Renner is an award-winning actor and dedicated philanthropist whose commitment to giving back is as integral to his identity as his celebrated film roles. In 2023, he founded the RennerVation Foundation, a youth-focused nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for children in foster care and at-risk youth. The parade was hosted by Dean Cain and Laura McKenzie with Montel Williams and Elizabeth Stanton. This year’s live parade featured 110 Hollywood Celebrities and VIPS, 16 Pre-Parade and Parade Performers, 12 award-wining bands, 13 large-than-life four-story character balloons, 5 colorful floats, 75 novelties and movie cars and 6 Parade Sponsors: Marine Toys for Tots, TCL Industries Holdings Co., Ltd., Genesis Gold Group, Military Makeover by Montel, The CW Network and Popstar!
