The Founder, Emily Cheong, is from Malaysia and through her culture, has created a brand that supports the uniqueness and positive energy she brings to each design. As seen on her website, Homolog is an Ancient Greek word, meaning  “agreeing, of one mind”. This explains the deeper connection Emily has with fashion and the environment. The Earth is a divine connection to who we are, and using pure materials that are sustainable not only makes you look good, but feel good. The collection, as seen on the runway, were pure thick cotton and silk and vibrant colors hand crafted that mimicked the beauty of the Earth. The crowd and myself were speechless , as we watched each model float down the runway in each impeccable design. It is obvious the collection and brand is made with love and the aura that was embodied by each model was captivating. Each silhouette was perfectly tailored to each model and the elegance of the show was outstanding.

When I was able to go backstage before the show, I was in awe of how intricate and delicate each piece was; the preparation within itself called for multiple professionals to help the girls in and out of the garments. The dresses made with cotton were the most intricate and intriguing to look at, due to the illusion that it was heavy because of the many layers of fabric. The silk dresses were delicate and eye catching, as all the colors glistened under the stage lights. As a model, I understand why the movement in each piece were so limiting, because the clothes literally speak for themselves. The details of each garment is what I admired because of the shimmering embroideries and handmade prints. There wasn’t a moment where a guest didn’t have out their phone because there wasn’t a moment you didn’t want to miss. The guests oo’d and ahh’d as the show continued on of becoming an experience of a lifetime.

A phenomenal job to Homolog Paris and the creative team who helped bring Emilys visions to life as a now well known masterpiece. I am excited to see what is to come in the next season for Homolog because this would be hard to top, but I know with hard work ad dedication it will be done.
