“Full Bloom at Magic Hour A Garden in the Sky Where NYC and Spirit Rise Together”

Step into a surreal garden in the sky as Moxy Times Square’s iconic rooftop transforms into a vibrant floral wonderland.

This summer, New York City’s most enchanting rooftop installation has returned in full bloom. Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge at Moxy Times Square has once again unveiled its seasonal transformation, delivering Full Bloom—a lush, whimsical, and dreamlike garden in the sky brought to life by Tao Group Hospitality. From now through September 2025, guests can rise above the buzz of the city and immerse themselves in this floral fantasy made for joy, connection, and curated wonder.

But for me, the bloom began long before June.

During Winter 2025, I embarked on what I called The Winter Arc—a season of inner discipline, sacred stillness, and daily devotion. I allowed my natural body clock to wake me at 5:30 a.m., gave thanks, and stepped into prayer and movement. I likened the experience to the Hierophant meeting the Hermit: a sage’s journey rooted in spiritual practices and quiet self-development. I did the work in silence, trusting something beautiful would emerge in due time.

Now, standing beneath Magic Hour’s skyline bouquet, I feel that bloom in full effect.

On June 2, 2025, I joined The Knockturnal for an exclusive first look at Full Bloom—a vibrant and maximalist transformation of the west terrace at Magic Hour, NYC’s largest all-season rooftop bar. This year’s installation is their most ambitious yet, designed as an immersive floral dreamscape high above Times Square.

The centerpiece? A towering 12-foot bouquet by experiential studio Geo Events—the creative force behind Soho’s viral Big Birk. This sculptural display of roses, daisies, peonies, and wildflowers bursts with pastel hues of petal pink, sky blue, and butter yellow. Designed as both a photo moment and a meditative centerpiece, it sets the tone for an experience that feels elevated, fantastical, and transportive.

The rooftop’s iconic carousel is now blanketed in vines and blooms, framed by Eden-like sculptures and checkerboard paths. A six- to eight-foot floral skyline lines one wall, creating the illusion of a dream garden growing behind you as you gaze out toward the real skyline.

“We wanted to create something surreal yet joyful—like stepping into a storybook,” said Azizan Ali, founder of Design House Decor, who collaborated with Yvonne Najor, VP of Hotel Marketing for Tao Group Hospitality, to bring this vision to life.

“Full Bloom is our maximalist love letter to spring and New York creativity.”

That creative heartbeat is felt throughout the space—but the sensory experience doesn’t stop at visuals.

Magic Hour’s updated culinary and cocktail program, led by Executive Chef Ben-Galy Cisse, features elevated bites and floral-inspired desserts by Chef Erin Cayaban, paired with botanical cocktails crafted by Nikki McCutcheon, Tao Group’s Senior Director of Beverage.

The highlight: the Botanical Spritz Menu, served in iridescent vases and designed to resemble a bouquet of drinks—3 for $40 or 6 for $75. Signatures like the Lavender Haze (lavender Monin, lemon juice, prosecco) and Golden Hour (Lobos Blanco, mango-chili purée, passionfruit, agave, prosecco) bloom beautifully in both taste and presentation. For those going alcohol-free, the Soft Launch (Nozeco Peach Bellini) offers a sparkling alternative.

The expanded bar menu includes upscale comfort staples like Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, Tuna Tartare Tostadas, and Lobster Rolls. On Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., brunch brings signature dishes like Crème Brûlée French Toast, Egg White Frittatas, and Dubai Chocolate Croissants—ideal for rooftop daydreaming.

From happy hour to drag brunch, live DJ sets to curated brand pop-ups, Full Bloom is more than a venue—it’s a seasonal stage for joy, creativity, and connection. With each floral detail and curated touchpoint, Tao Group reminds us how powerful it can be to reimagine a space—and how every season invites us to do the same.

So searching for your next photo op, a fresh brunch spot, or a moment of rooftop serenity—this is your sign. Bring a friend, a date, or your journal. Let the skyline inspire you. Let the garden hold you allow love within you to  bloom.
