First Trailer Released For The Long Awaited Sequel, ‘Zoolander 2’

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson reprise their roles in what could be the first funny sequel in a long, long time

It’s been 14 years since the world first witnessed Blue Steel…and ever since, we’ve all wanted more. Zoolander was a phenomenon unlike anything that had been seen at that time. And while plenty of comedies have come and gone since then, Zoolander still remains one of the funniest, and most quotable films since its released. It comes as no surprise then that a Zoolander 2 has been officially announced and if this first teaser trailer is any indication, it may just have the same charm and humor as seen in the first film.

With a Stephen Hawking-type narration, it’s hard to tell just exactly what this trailer is for. But little clues are there (such as a definition for Eugoogly and a No Turn Left sign), and then it all becomes very clear. There’s not much to go on just yet, but so far it’s at least slightly promising. That being said, the success of Zoolander 2 will be determined by how original of a film it is and if it goes its own way instead of just reusing old jokes from the first film. I’m excited, but obviously hesitant.

Zoolander 2 is directed by Ben Stiller, written by Stiller and Justin Theroux, and stars Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Christine Taylor, Kristen Wiig, and Cyrus Arnold. Zoolander 2 will be in theaters February 12, 2016.
