EXCLUSIVE: Matthew Hamachek and Justin Wilkes on The Dynasty: New England Patriots

The Dynasty: New England Patriots arrives on Apple TV+ on February 16th.
One of the all-time greatest sports dynasties is the center of the newest Apple TV+ documentary series. “The Dynasty: New England Patriots” follows the rise and fall of the winningest NFL team over two decades. This series shows us behind the curtain into the minds of Tom Brady, Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss and many more. The 10-part series The Dynasty takes us along the journey of a losing team, taken to the greatest heights winning six Super Bowls, then the eventual decline of this great organization.
The Knockturnal recently spoke with Emmy-winning director Matthew Hamachek and executive Producer Justin Wilkes about the inception and creation of this series. We asked them about the Patriots recent coaching changes following Bill Belichick’s departure. They shared the journey of working with the Patriots to access tapes and archival footage, interviewing over 70 key people related to the Patriots, and finding tapes from Tom Brady’s roommate when Tom was a new NFL player. Many think they know the story of the Patriots‘ dynasty, but this series goes deeper than ever seen before.
Stream The Dynasty: New England Patriots on Apple TV+ starting February 16th.
