Exclusive: Long Distance Star Katie Rainsberger Talks Mental Health In Sports Community

The past two weeks within the sports community have been filled with nothing but Olympic buzz and excitement.

But within this thrill, ever so important conversations have been starting left and right about something so crucial, the importance of mental health. It seems that we sometimes forget that the athletes we adore so much are human, and are under an immense amount of pressure to succeed. This can get taxing.

We had the honor of sitting down with long distance runner Katie Rainsberger, who is currently in partnership with Thorne in their better health campaign. The daughter of former long distance star Lisa Larsen Rainsberger, Katie is living a legacy. This year, Katie is working to transition from a record-setting collegiate to professional runner, and she is setting her eyes on a goal to make the 2024 Olympic team. She is truly a visionary on the track and off. This campaign is so important right now, as Thorne’s products work to improve both physical and mental health within athletes. Katie discussed how the lack of recourses within the community is something that needs to change, and there’s no doubt that the future of these conversations will do just that. Check out our full conversation with Katie above.
