Exclusive: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks Apple TV+’s New Series ‘Mr. Corman’ [Video]

Apple TV+’s newest series, “Mr. Corman,” played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt follows Josh Corman’s life, a fifth-grade public school teacher, who’s career in music hasn’t panned out as he hoped. The ten-episode series is a relatable dramedy for the contemporary generation of 30-somethings: rich with good intentions, poor with student loans, and yearning to become real grown-ups sometime before we die.

The Knockturnal exclusively chatted with Gordon-Levitt who created, wrote, executive produced, and starred in “Mr. Corman.”

“What inspired me [to create this series was] I was mostly feeling grateful for my life. I feel so grateful for so many things; I have a wonderful family, I have a wonderful wife and partner, my kids. I get to do work that means a lot to me,” Gordon-Levitt remarked.

“ With Mr. Corman, I started writing about well ‘what if my luck had gone differently?’ he mentioned. “The character you see in Mr. Corman is in a lot of ways me but with just certain changes.”

“Mr. Corman” will premiere globally on August 6 on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes of the ten-episode first season, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.
