The Apple TV+ series Acapulco is back for its third season. Their series continues with Eugenio Derbez playing present-day Maximo Gallardo and Enrique Arrizon as Young Maximo.
Watching season three you’ll experience in the present day where older Maximo returns to a Las Colinas he no longer recognizes; in 1985, younger Maximo continues his climb up the ladder of success while potentially jeopardizing all the relationships he’s worked so hard to build.
“That’s what I love about Acapulco, that we can show a different part of Mexico,” says Eugenio Derbez. This series is perfect to watch with your family and brings a sense of nostalgia with its 80s setting. You’ll see recurring guest stars like Cristo Fernandez this season.
Creator of the show Austin Winsberg, executive produces alongside Sam Laybourne who is the newest to Acapulco as showrunner and as an additional executive producer. “Coming in as showrunner in season three, I had this incredible cliffhanger story gift to play off,” shared Sam Laybourne. Season three is filled with more humor, twists, and turns, and will air Wednesday, May 1st on Apple TV+.
