Exclusive: Dennis Dugan, King Bach & Maggie Grace Talk ‘Love, Weddings & Other Disasters’ [Video]

From the director that brought you “Big Daddy,” “Happy Gilmore” and “Grown Ups” comes the hilarious romantic comedy “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters.”

The all star cast comprised of Maggie Grace and Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor as well as Oscar winners Diane Keaton and Jeremy Irons prove that sometimes the perfect match is made in madness. A couple’s desire to plan the greatest wedding within a short matter of time, initiates the multiple entangled storylines of an unlikely group of characters. The lives of an inexperienced wedding planner [Maggie Grace] who has also be given the nickname “The Wedding Trasher;” a high strung celebrity caterer [Jeremy Irons]; a blind photographer [Diane Keaton] and an eager tour guide desperate to find his Cinderella [Andrew Bachelor] have by chance intertwined creating epic disasters in the search for love.

Director, Dennis Dugan who also appears in the film is known for his partnership with Adam Sandler and directing some of the most iconic comedy films. Now Dugan takes a dive into directing a romantic comedy and lets us all know what it takes to create a great romcom. Writing from his heart and using his wife as inspiration for his movies has been the key to building the perfect romantic comedy. “I just love romance and I’ve loved comedy my whole life. I just want to make people laugh and in this case I got to do both,” Dugan explains. While love was most definitely in the air for some, Grace can relate to her character who was abruptly broken up with mid skydive. “I dated in Los Angeles for quite some time, I’ve been broken up with in many awkward ways,” Grace jokingly shares. But similar to her vivacious character, Grace faced her breakups with levity and poise. On the complete opposite spectrum, Mr. Prince Charming himself, King Bach details a time when a fan went through great lengths to be with him.

The Knockturnal had an exclusive interview with the cast so be sure to check it out as we chat about awkward break ups, romance, celebrity weddings, New Year resolutions and much more! Love, Weddings & Other Disasters is out on December 4.
