Carbone, Tribeca Film Festival, and Caviar hosted the premiere reception for Reinventing Mirazur and attendees joined well-known chef Mauro Colagreco for the evening.
The documentary explains the life of Argentinian Chef Colagreco and how he has set himself apart from others within the culinary industry. Reinventing Mirazur documents Colagreco’s journey and the bold and unique food he has received high recognition for worldwide. During the covid -19 pandemic, many restaurants were affected due to the lockdown, but he and his team created a plan to ensure Colagreco’s name remained in the conversation. Post pandemic, chefs and employees developed various ideas to offer patrons the best possible experiences. This 98-minute documentary is a testament to the resilience and creativity of individuals within the food and restaurant business.
After the Premiere Screening, Chef Colagreco and other guest chefs in attendance had a conversation about the future of gastronomy. Colagreco also spoke about his new philosophy when developing his restaurant’s menus coming out of the pandemic. He developed the idea of connecting his menus with the cycles of the moon. Alongside the discussions, guests partook in the photo booth, portrait artist, full buffet, and more.
Reinventing Mirazur premiered at this year’s Tribeca film festival on June 13th.
