Exclusive: Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren Velez Talk Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse

In the wake of the highly successful and critically acclaimed “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” the studio and creative team are back with the much-anticipated sequel, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” promises to push the boundaries of animated storytelling even further. The film takes viewers on an exhilarating journey as Miles Morales, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man from Brooklyn, reunites with Gwen Stacy and finds himself catapulted across the Multiverse.

In this new installment, Miles encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People tasked with protecting the Multiverse’s existence. However, tensions arise when the heroes clash over how to handle a looming threat, forcing Miles to redefine his understanding of heroism to save his loved ones. The film’s central message is that anyone can wear the mask, but how they wear it determines their heroism.

The voice cast for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is a powerhouse ensemble featuring Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Jason Schwartzman as Scorpion, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Karan Soni as Aikku Jokinen/Silk, and many more.

We sat down with Brian and Luna to talk all about their roles! Check out the full conversation below!
