In January 2025, audiences will have access to TV’s next big medical drama ‘DOC.’ DOC, which will stream on Fox, is a captivating and heart-wrenching series based on a true story.
DOC tells the fascinating story of Dr. Amy Larsen, played by Molly Parker. Dr. Larsen loses her memory in a horrific car accident and is left to pick up the pieces and start from square one in both her personal and professional life. Her memory loss forces her to discover and relive all the devastating and traumatic events she had experienced in the last 8 years. Nothing is how she thought it was.
The bright side? A chance to do things differently. We watch as Dr. Larsen rebuilds intricate relationships, takes a step backward in her career, and maybe even finds a way to improve herself.
The advance screening was held on October 16th at Metrograph. It was the perfect night at the theater, filled with carefully crafted details for guests to feel a part of the show. Upon arrival, guests received entry wristbands that resembled hospital patient bracelets. There were photos, an open bar with a selection of on-theme ‘doctails,’ and concession snacks to take into the theater. ‘DOC’ wrapped popcorn boxes, an endless selection of candy, and even bandaid-shaped gummies and chocolates.
Guests filed into the theater and heard a few words from Executive Vice President of Fox Drama Development and Programming at Fox Entertainment, Brooke Bowman. Bowman expressed her excitement about sharing the series and said everyone at Fox has fallen in love with it.
Following Bowman, Executive Producer and Showrunner Barbie Kligman and Executive Producer Hank Steinberg came out to thank their cast; Molly Parker, Amirah Vann, Omar Metwally, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Scott Wolf, Patrick Walker, and Katie Hamda.
Following the screening of Episode 1, the cast, producers, and guests headed upstairs for an incredible reception. Everyone enjoyed more cocktails, light bites, desserts, and a photo booth, all while excitingly recapping the pilot they had just watched.
Before exiting, guests had the opportunity to make a goodie bag at the Westside Hospital Wellness Shop. This was the best way to finish out the evening! Guests grabbed for anti-stress vitamins, brain-shaped stress balls, and hand sanitizers, and loaded their loot into on-theme toiletry bags.
This 10-episode series produced by Kligman and Steinberg will have you laughing, crying, and everything in between. Within the first episode, you will be hooked, picking sides in the inevitable love triangles and exploring all the possibilities of what’s to come at Westside Hospital all while wondering what you would do in Dr. Amy Larsen’s place.
DOC premieres on Fox and Hulu in January 2025.
