DJ Cassidy passes the mic to Ashanti, Fabolous, Ja Rule, Lil Kim, Ma$e, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, 112 and surprise guests!

Martell Cognac extended a special VIP invite to attend the first stop of DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic live! Tour on Friday, May 12, at the Prudential Center. Featuring our favorite Hip-Hop and R&B acts of the millennium with an exclusive lineup only for the night.

It was an evening of Blue Swift cocktails, delicious food, and timeless 90’s-2000s music! First up was none other than the star and original Queen Bee. Little Kim! Once Lil Kim moved the crowd and got us in our feelings with her contagious energy. The hits just kept rolling back to back with seamless transitions! Following Lil Kim, 112 hit us with the essentials as we slipped into the sexier side of the era. Ma$e picked up the mic for his fantastic set! After Ma$e, Robin Thicke came through with the vocals! Followed by everyone’s favorite rapper, F-a-b-o-l-o-u-s, Fabolous! Ne-Yo performed with his priceless catalog of hits. Nonetheless, unfortunately the night had to end, and the show was finally closed with the song machines Ja Rule and Ashanti! Overall this was a concert you couldn’t afford to miss! However, DJ Cassidy is far from the end of his curated tour!

Don’t miss the next concert!

In celebration of 50 incredible years of hip-hop, DJ Cassidy’s pop-up tour will make a critical stop at radio city music hall on Friday, July 21, 2023, Gracing the stage with the founders themselves! Starting with the first-ever emcees the world has ever seen, The Sugar Hill Gang! The list of founders performing is, but is not at all limited to, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Rakim, and Slick Rick, with Black Sheep, Brand Nubian, CL Smooth, Dana Dane, DoItAll of Lords Of The Underground, EPMD, Fu-Schnickens, Grandmaster Melle Mel & Scorpio, Kid’ N Play, Kool Moe Dee, Kurtis Blow, MC Serch, MC Shan, Milk Dee of Audio Two, Monie Love, Nice’ N Smooth, Onyx, Roxanne Shante, Special Ed, and Treach of Naughty By Nature.

Although Dj Cassidy has been in the headlines and on TV for the past few years for his “Past the Mic Live!” creation, he is more than a “pandemic sensation.” His lengthy résumé of celebrity clients like President Obama, Oprah, Beyoncé, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and more can attest to the validity and fruitfulness of his music career!

One thing I know for sure. Martell throws the best events! As extravagant as they wanted to be, Martell fully understood the assignment and executed it unapologetically!
