Cold Copy’s Movie Premiere At The Tribeca Festival In NYC!

The Tribeca Festival’s Premiere of the movie Cold Copy, starring Actresses Tracee Ellis Ross and Bel Powley, was the feature-film debut for talented Director and Writer, Roxine Helberg.

Cold Copy is a fantastic portrayal of journalist student Mia, played by Bel Powley, and her highly stressful mentorship at journalism school, learning from big-time News Host, Diane, played by Tracee Ellis Ross. Mia has always dreamed of having a huge news career, like that of the notorious iron-fist powerhouse, Diane. When Diane is not impressed by Mia’s story pitch, Mia goes to extreme and desperate lengths to get her interested – even if it means manipulating the story to overly dramatize it.

The film has such a unique, cliff-hanging plot. The audience literally gasped because the story keeps getting more, and more suspenseful with each shift in the character’s journeys. It’s a refreshing roller coaster of emotions that tests the ethical dilemmas of both Mia’s and Diane’s values. The profound story’s aesthetic is both aggressive and edgy while being intimate and soft, as the character’s evolution showcases multidimensional traits. None of the characters are as they seem at first glance, and the fact that the script uncovers each so unexpectedly and dramatically, confirms the power of Roxine’s dynamic script and directing.
