BJ Novak and Michelin-starred Chef Tim Hollingsworth stirred up a truly memorable day in New York City that had foodies gleaming from all the delicious fun. Fans of beloved American restaurants had their hearts racing with joy as the stars debuted ChainFEST in New York on Sept. 21.
The world’s largest celebration of chain restaurants drew in over 5,000 food lovers who came out to Randall’s Island Park for a glorious party jam-packed with bold tastes and fabulous twists on classics.
It was a sight to see with people of all ages gathering to celebrate American nostalgia shaken and stirred up in a happy way. The day proved to be the type of fun we need now – being something innocent and sweet while making incredible memories to last a lifetime.
A day of gourmet collabs with restaurants like KFC and Cracker Barrel marked some of the many special occasions such as guests being the first to experience a brand-new recipe from KFC – the Original Recipe Tender – before it makes its way to restaurants across the country in October.
Additionally, the crowd honored Cracker Barrel’s 55th birthday. There was a Skrewball Peanut Butter Sweet Tea Cocktail and others indulged in Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin spice glazed original doughnut. Some even felt like a kid again at Chuck E Cheese’s first ever arcade pop-up where celebs were spotted getting into the games in the most delightful way.
Sponsors for the phenomenal event included: KFC, Cracker Barrel, Red Robin, Red Lobster, Panda Express, Chuck E. Cheese, Hot Dog on a Stick, Portillo’s, Pernod-Ricard, Trader Vic’s, Krispy Kreme, TUMS, Cash App and VISA.
