Celebrate Mother’s Day With Some Cocktails And Spirits

Show your mom how much you care with a little cocktail or two

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and there is no better way to celebrate your mother figure than with a thoughtful and refreshing cocktail or wine.  And if you are still on the fence on what to make, we have a few recipes and suggestions that you can use to make your mom feel extra special.

 

The ‘3-2-1’ Aperol Spritz

Ingredients: 

  • Ice cubes
  • Aperol
  • Cinzano Prosecco
  • Soda Water (served from siphon or chilled bottle)
  • Slice of orange

Method: In a stemmed balloon glass full of ice, combine 3 parts of Cinzano Prosecco followed by 2 parts Aperol. Add 1 part or a splash of soda water, stir gently if needed and garnish with an orange slice. The end result should be a uniform, perfect orange color.

 

Grand 75

Ingredients:

  • 5 parts of Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge (an exceptional blend of fine cognac and bitter orange liqueur)
  • 75 parts of Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 bar spoon of Simple Syrup
  • 2 parts Lallier Champagne
  • Garnish: Orange Twirl

Method: Combine Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice in a shaker tin. Add ice and shake. Fine strain into a chilled flute or coupe glass. Top with dry French champagne. Garnish with an orange twirl.

 

The Macallan Garden of Legacy

Ingredients:

  • 40ml The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old
  • 30ml  Pink Grapefruit juice
  • 10ml Sugar syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Top up with soda or tonic and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge

Method: Combine all ingredients in a tall glass, and add ice. Top up with soda or tonic. Garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge.

 

Ballotin Blackberry Smash

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Bourbon Ball Chocolate Whiskey
  • .5 part Real Blackberry Puree*
  • 2 oz ginger
  • Squeeze of Lime

Method: Shake all ingredients in a mixing tin with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge or fresh blackberries.

 

NOLET’S Silver Rose Gimlet Raindrop Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup NOLET’S Silver Gin
  • 1 3/4 cups Water
  • 3/4 tsp. Agar
  • 1/8 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 75 ml Rose Extract
  • Small Edible Rose Petals
  • Small Dome Silicone Mold

 

Method: Boil water in a small pot. Sprinkle in agar and stir until completely dissolved. Add granulated sugar and stir until dissolved. Add Rose extract, NOLET’S Silver and stir. Remove pot from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Pour mixture into mold. Place rose petals. Chill and set for at least two hours. Un-mold, serve and enjoy!

 

The Jasmine

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Bulldog Gin
  • 1/4 oz Campari
  • 1/4 oz Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • Garnish: Lemon twist

Method: Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

 

Steel Hibiscus

Ingredients:

  • .75 oz Sorel
  • 1 oz Ransom Old Tom Gin
  • .75 oz lime juice
  • .5 oz Passion Fruit Syrup

Method: Shake, strain, serve. Garnish with a lime twist.

 

PATRÓN SILVER Rosé All Day

Ingredients (Pitcher Serving):

  • 8 oz PATRÓN Silver
  • 6 oz Citrónge Orange Liqueur
  • 1 Bottle of rosé wine
  • 4 oz St. Germain
  • 6 Strawberries
  • 10 Raspberries
  • 6 Lime wheels

Method:

In the bottom of a glass pitcher, gently muddle the berries with the St. Germain. Add remaining ingredients. Stir with ice to combine and chill.

 

Pomegranate Paloma

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz CAZADORES Blanco
  • 1/2 oz ST-GERMAIN elderflower liqueur
  • 2 oz Pomegranate Juice
  • Top with Grapefruit Soda
  • Splash of Lime Juice
  • Pinch of salt

Method: Add ice to a highball glass. Pour ingredients into highball glass. Garnish with lime juice.

 

Gran Centenario Watermelon Grape Margarita
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Gran Centenario® Plata Tequila
  • 2 cups Frozen Watermelon
  • 2 cups Frozen Red Seedless Grapes
  • ¾3/4  cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 2 slices Seeded Jalapeño or Serrano Chile (Optional)
  • Garnish: Lime Wedge and Red Grapes

Method: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with lime wedge and fresh red grapes. Recipe serves 4.

 
Gran Centenario Tangerine Chile Gran Paloma
Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Gran Centenario® Añejo Tequila
  • 2 oz Fresh Tangerine Juice
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Chile de Árbol Agave Syrup
  • Seltzer Water
  • Garnish: Chili-Salt Rim and Chile de Árbol

Method: Combine all ingredients, except seltzer water, to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice into a rock glass rimmed with chili-salt. Top with seltzer water and garnish with chile de árbol.

Caipirinha

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Novo Fogo Fogo Silver or Novo Fogo Barrel-Aged Cachaça
  • 25 Tbsp Sugar
  • ½ Lime

Method: Remove the width pith from the lime and discard it. Cut the remaining lime in slices; toss them into the glass. Muddle them with sugar in the glass. Fill the glass with ice. Add cachaça and pour everything into a shaker. Shake and pour everything (including the ice) back into the same glass.

 

Disaronno Velvet Batida

  • 2 oz Disaronno Velvet
  • 2 oz Coconut water
  • Garnish: Coconut flakes

Method: Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with crushed ice. Garnish with coconut flakes on top.

 

Bayou Daiquiri

  • 2 oz Bayou White Rum
  • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • Garnish: lime twist

Method: Add the rum, lime juice and simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lime twist.

For The Mom Who Has a Sweet Tooth:

The Chardonnay fruit for this release was all sourced from well-known regions of California, which allowed the winemakers to select grapes that hold true to the brand’s fruit-forward style.

 

And lastly, since Mother’s Day is a celebration, there has to be some type of bubbles.  And if you’re in the market for sparkling wine, we cannot recommend Chandon enough.
