Caffè Concerto Hits all the Right Notes

Caffe Concerto is a symphonic experience. The high-end Italian Korean restaurant serves a bevy of daring and delicious fare, light and ravishing.

The salmon carpaccio was lightly-salted and beautifully presented on a bed of fresh vegetables. It flaked off the fork and into my mouth, fresh and sinewy.

The oysters were poppin’, too. They were salty and soft and, when paired with lemon and tomato sauce, were the finest I’ve had. I could have a meal of just these magnificent mollusks.

My favorite dish was the dynamic octopus. It’s a meaty and perfectly-cooked entree, thick and endlessly filling. It’s stunning, too, surrounded by a chamber orchestra of fresh and cooked vegetables.

Octopus for the gods.

Another big treat was the kim chi pasta, which was gently spicy and surprisingly light, bold yet flavorfully floating on air. Of all the pastas I tried, the elements blended best in this saucy, delightful entree.

Lobster Pasta. Drool.

The lobster pasta is a big, immersive, bodacious success. It’s got the built-in fun of tearing a lobster apart, mixed with a delectable and powerful pasta. Just for looks alone, this was a winner.

The service was cordial and attentive; I felt like I was friends with the staff. There was trust and rapport and real laughs. Can’t wait to come back.
