This week Swarovski’s New York City Fifth Ave Headquarters hosted along with the Swarovski Foundation a special event with legendary actor and advocate Brooke Shields to promote the work of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Along with the United Nations, the day launched a stunning crystalized SDG pin as a call to action for a more sustainable and equitable world by 2030.
The design of the crystalized pin represents color wheel, and all profits from the sales of the pin will go towards the Swarovski Foundation’s work to support the achievement of the SDGs by 2030. Based on the SDG color wheel, the unique piece features selected Swarovski ReCreated™ Crystals, the jewelry brand’s most sustainable crystals to date, mounted on a recycled metal base.

“This year we celebrate ‘130 Years of Joy’ honoring the heritage that distinguishes Swarovski and continues to shape our identity today,” Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard said. “This is also defined by our commitment to a responsible relationship with people and the planet. This legacy is rooted in the company’s sustainability measures across the value chain, and the philanthropic work of the Swarovski Foundation supporting charitable organizations globally. This exciting collaboration aims to shine a light on our work towards a more equitable and sustainable world by 2030.”
All profits go to the Swarovski Foundation’s mission to promote sustainable livelihoods through education, to reduce inequality and drive progress towards the achievement of the SDGs.
“The Sustainable Development Goals, unanimously adopted by world leaders at the United Nations, serve as a roadmap to a world where everyone thrives in peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet. This vision is not an illusion or utopia – it is achievable through collaboration and commitment from all who believe in it,” stated United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming. “The crystallized SDG pin by Swarovski brings the goals to new audiences. It also supports the Swarovski Foundation’s vital work in harnessing creativity and young talent to drive positive global change. This synergy exemplifies the essence of SDG 17—working together to achieve a better future for all.”
The crystalized SDG pin is available at the New York flagship store, Swarovski on Fifth, and the United Nations Bookshop at the UN Headquarters in New York. At $79 will all profits from the sales of the pin will go towards the Swarovski Foundation’s work to support the achievement of the SDGs by 2030.
