The album is set to be a 72-hour Tidal exclusive before its release for commercial download on April 1.
Big Sean and Jhene Aiko, both Def Jam signees, just announced the release of their debut collaboration LP TWENTY88, set for release this Friday, April 1.
7-time BETAward winner and GRAMMY nominee, Big Sean, emerged to the mainstream with his debut album Finally Famous and later fixed his position with multiple collaboration with artists alike Kanye West, J. Cole and Nicki Minaj. His 2015 Dark Sky Paradise was Sean’s first to go platinum and first to debut #1 on Soundscan.
GRAMMY-nominated Jhene Aiko debuted with her 2013 album Sail Out as well as appeared on multiple collaborations with A-list artists. She’s been featured on albums and singles of Kendrick Lamar, Wale, J. Cole, Drake and more.
TWENTY88 tells the story of the highs and lows of a relationship, with insights into conflict, memories, love, sex, and more and features production from Key Wane, Detail and Tommy Brown.
The LP isn’t Sean’s and Aiko’s first joint project. Jhene’s made a number of appearances on Sean’s music, including a chorus to ‘Beware’ and their duet on his Dark Sky Paradise, ‘I Know.’ A glance at these collaborations sets our expectations for the upcoming project very high.
TWENTY88 will make a debut TV appearance on Thursday, March 31, on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
