Sony’s SoundClub event series once again proved its commitment to bridging the gap between artists, creators, and music lovers, this time with a special night celebrating singer-songwriter Anthony Gargiula at The Sun Rose at The Pendry West Hollywood.
The intimate gathering was a testament to Sony’s For The Music platform, which uplifts rising musicians through immersive experiences and cutting-edge audio technology. The Albany-born artist, who has captivated a massive online audience with over 4 million followers across Instagram and TikTok and a staggering 80 million YouTube views, took center stage to debut his latest single, “Empty Chair.”
This heartfelt song was written in honor of his grandfather who had passed away and played a pivotal role in his musical journey. Before performing his emotional tribute, Gargiula shared with the audience that “his [Gargiula’s grandfather] love of music, and art inspired me so much. I think he’s the first one who had the voice, that’s what we say – this song was written as a tribute to him.” Known for his viral TikTok series “The Kitchen Corner”— where he’s collaborated with music heavy hitters like Tori Kelly, Teddy Swims, Darren Criss, and Jesse McCartney— Gargiula brought his signature blend of raw emotion and vocal prowess to the night’s performance.

Just when the audience thought the night couldn’t get any better, American Idol star David Archuleta joined Gargiula on stage for a surprise duet of “Crush,” sending waves of nostalgia and excitement through the crowd. The moment was a standout highlight, bridging generations of music lovers and showcasing the collaborative spirit that Sony’s SoundClub aims to foster. As the evening came to a close, Gargiula’s family had one final surprise in store. His parents and brother presented him with a Billboard plaque, celebrating “Constant”, which Gargiula co-wrote and sung with Jordin Sparks, Maverick City, featuring Chandler Moore, for charting on multiple Billboard Christian/Gospel charts — including #1 on the Top Gospel Albums chart. The heartfelt moment underscored not only Gargiula’s talent as a performer but also his growing impact as a singer and songwriter in the industry.
Sony’s SoundClub event delivered on its promise of bringing people closer to the art of music — not just through electrifying performances but through unforgettable moments of connection.
