Amazon Music Merges with The Roots For ‘A Night Of Symphonic Hip Hop’

Amazon Music and Live Nation have announced plans to livestream The Root’s “A Night Of Symphonic Hip Hop” concert taking place in Dallas, Texas.

The concert, taking place on October 17 at The Pavilion Indoor Theater at Irving Music Factory, will bring four-time Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group The Roots together with a Dallas-based, 50-piece orchestra. The night aims to fuse rap, funk, jazz, soul, and rock in one super pumped-up arena. This is the third installment of this concert, previously unifying rap icons such as Nelly and Common with full-piece orchestras.

The once-in-a-lifetime event will be broadcasted online on Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, which is available through the Twitch app on Amazon devices (such as Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets). Amazon Music has hosted popular live streams in the past, most notably with artists such as Train, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and Regina Spektor.

Tickets will go on sale on August 25 at 10 a.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com. However, the special fan and CITI Cardholder pre-order begins Tuesday, August 22 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, August 24 at 10 p.m.
