Allure’s Best of Beauty: The Live Event Returns for it’s Second Year in NYC

On Saturday, Chelsea Industrial in New York City transformed into a beauty lover’s paradise as Allure’s Best of Beauty: The Live Event returned for its second year.

With an all-star lineup of experts, celebs, and influencers, this immersive experience gave attendees an up-close look at the world of beauty through the eyes of Allure’s top editors and industry icons.

In the spirit of the season, the event truly felt like trick-or-treating for beauty lovers. The venue was filled with stations where guests could play games for prizes, often full-sized products from iconic brands. The event kicked off with an early-morning VIP hour, giving early risers exclusive access to brand activations and beauty consultations. From brow-sculpting sessions with Anastasia Beverly Hills to foundation color matching courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs, the morning set the tone for a day of beauty indulgence. Rare Beauty also provided makeup touch-ups and highlighter glow-ups, sending attendees into the day with that coveted, Allure-approved glow.

At 9:45 AM, influencer and podcast host Tinx took to the stage to moderate “A Day in the Life of a Beauty Editor,” giving fans a peek into the glamor and grit behind one of the industry’s most sought-after careers. As always, the editor combined humor with hard-hitting questions about the trends, trials, and tribulations that come with working in beauty journalism.

Following Tinx’s chat, Allure Editor-in-Chief Jessica Cruel sat down with style icon Tina Knowles for “Crown Conversations: A Hair Journey.” Ms. Tina, known for her creative vision and influence on hair culture, shared stories of her own hair journey and how she’s empowered her family and fans alike to embrace their unique textures and styles.

At 11:00 AM, doors opened to the Allure Beauty Desk, where attendees booked one-on-one sessions with some of the industry’s biggest names. Whether it was learning skincare secrets from Dr. Michelle Henry or getting makeup tips from artists like Danessa Myricks and Matt Newman, attendees got insider insights in an intimate setting, a truly priceless experience.

The day’s final keynote brought legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath to the stage. Moderated by Allure Executive Beauty Director Jenny Bailly, “Backstage Beauty: Behind the Runway” offered a rare glimpse into McGrath’s creative process and her approach to creating iconic runway looks.

With brands like Xeomin, Amazon, and Dove sponsoring the event, guests enjoyed everything from skincare samples to haircare demos. From networking with fellow beauty enthusiasts to chatting with top experts, Allure’s Best of Beauty Live proved to be a can’t-miss event for anyone passionate about beauty.
