A Spooktakular Look at Best of Halloween Events

It was a frightfully wonderful Halloween in New York City. Here was a look at our favorite events.

Gorey 849 was a night full of dance and music as hundreds of guests raised their glasses to the holiday. The captivating energy in the room at SECOND floor at Kimpton Hotel Eventi was the place for the girls and ghouls to be seen. The tribute to the Gorey Charitable Trust was a perfect thing as guests in delightful costumes brought great joy to the entire venue. There was certainly something to be said about officially bringing back Halloween in true style after taking a pause from last year’s festivities due to the pandemic.

The likes of the likes of guest of honor Luann de Lesseps; Mistress of Ceremonies Margaret Joseph, Kayvon Zand and family,  and Don Lemon were in attendance.

For three nights, Collective & MATTE Projects took over the historic Angel Orensanz, a 171-year-old cathedral-like structure on the lower east side and turned it into a landscape of performance across Halloween weekend. Each night offered a similar program, with secrets shared on a mezzanine, an interactive installation on the main floor, and a dark, hedonistic dance party on the sub-level.

Somewhere Nowhere hosted a weekend of Halloween events. The gorgeous space hosts the tallest rooftop in the city with a pool, featuring two-levels and 5,156-square-feet of whimsical indoor and outdoor space designed by acclaimed architect, Stonehill Taylor.

Blood Manor offered up some of the scariest fun. Thrills and chills were in the two layers of non-stop screams.

And best of all tickets are still on sale this weekend. Get them here and continue the Halloween fun for just a bit longer. Lights out is a pretty phenomenal time. Let the glow guide you to the excitement.
