2017 Angel Ball Brings out Big names for a Good Cause

The annual Angel Ball was held Monday night at Cipriani Wall Street and as always it was a night filled with stars.

Big names came together to support Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for cancer research and were treated to performances from Gloria Gaynor, Kool and the Gang, and a surprise performance from T-Pain.

“Almost everyone has someone in their family or someone that they know who has suffered from one cancer or another. I just had to be apart of trying to do whatever I can to help find a cure,” singer and performer of the night Gloria Gaynor told us, “[The foundation] is bringing so many people together to fight this thing, to find a cure, to pull together fund to support research!”

The event truly brings a solid group of people together for a meaningful cause and provides the opportunity to dress to impress said Real Housewife of New York Dorinda Medley, wearing a Dolce and Gabbana gown. “You never know who’s going to show up, there’s always a surprise! And I think people really dress at this event, they still do old school dressing.” On why she is so passionate about this foundation in particular Medley told us, “I’m such good friends with Denise [Rich, founder] and I think it’s always good to support women’s causes!”

The evening honored producer & humanitarian Niki Cole and Rally Heath Founder and CEO Grant Verstandig. Other attendees of the ball included Maria Menounos, Daniel Craig, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, La La Anthony, Richie Akiva, Jeff Gordon, Star Jones, Karolina Kurkova, Jessica White, Jean Shafiroff, Ramona Singer, Ivana Trump and Sofia Resing.

As of this morning, the event had raised $3.8 million. The online auction, powered by Charitybuzz, runs through November 2nd at Charitybuzz.com/angelball
