The new year is approaching fast and so are all the returning shows that comes with this beautiful month of January. The only thing we are missing is Game of Thrones…

The Bachelor (ABC, Season 22)

Everyone’s favorite American sweetheart series is back and with a brand new bachelor, yet again. This time his name is Arie Luyendyk Jr. The 36-year old is a former race car driver and ready to find the love of his life. This wasn’t his last time finding love as he had his heart broken on TV with The Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, in 2012. Hopefully this time, he finally does seek the one or does he?. Tune in January 1 at 8/7c on ABC.


Modern Family ABC Season 9B Jan 3

The family that literally makes you drop to the floor laughing on January 3, 9 pm ET on ABC. The dream team cast is back ready than ever to give you all the feels and for this comedy sitcom. The first episode is called, “He said, She said” and will bring some battle of the sexes as Claire (Julie Bowen) requests to make a “she shed” but gets turned down.


Will & Grace (NBC, Season 9B) Jan 4

The sitcom that grew strong in the 90’s was revived on NBC in 2017, but the brand new season one’s back and returning on January 4. The besties and roommates, Grace (Debra Messing) and Will (Eric McCormack) give us all the 2017 feels and commentary we needed for this original 1990’s series. Season 9 returns January 4th on NBC.


The Good Doctor (ABC, Season 1B) Jan 8

Brought to you by the creators of House, Freddie Highmore returns to television as The Good Doctor on January 8 on ABC at 10 EST. Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) is a surgeon doctor with autism and savant syndrome and moves away from his country life to become part of the team at  San Jose Bonaventure Hospital.


This Is Us (NBC, Season 2B; moved from January 2) Jan 9

One word for this series. Tears. I hope you stocked up on tissues this New Year because This is Us is returning on January 9 on NBC at 9 pm CT. The Pearson family that takes us on an emotional rollercoaster through their families past and present.

The Fosters (Freeform, Season 5B) Jan 9

Probably the most loving family out there on television is returning, but this time they will celebrate with their 100th episode which is a big deal for a series that is still running strong. Callie’s (Maia Mitchell) heart is full of gold and at the end of the episode in the fall finale, we saw that she is trying to save Ximena (Lisseth Chavez) from getting deported. Which brings to reality the what undocumented people are dealing with on a day to day basis. Catch it on Jan 9 on Freeform at 8/7c.


Riverdale (The CW, Season 2B) Jan 17

Riverdale is super addicting and the dramatizes mystery everyone and their moms (literally) are watching. Cole Sprouse if even in it and he as this bad boy vibe going on. What’s to come next for Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and her Northside pals have in store for the returning of season 2 on January 17 on The CW.


Scandal (ABC, Season 7B; final season) Jan 18

The seventh season is the last one for Scandal as 2018 is bringing the last eleven episodes for this series. This gives us all more the reason to watch it. Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is ready for the series to end, but with something big, that cannot be missed. In the trailer for the final season, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) says “it feels right” when asked, “how does it feel to be the most powerful person in the world.” Chills! Supernatural (The CW, Season 13B) Jan 18

The number 13 is a lucky number so let’s hope the returning of Supernatural on The CW will be too. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) are back at it again fighting off every supernatural in their path. Both of the actors want to make it to 300 episodes, which would need to happen in season 14. So let this great news reign! Be sure to check it out on January 18 at 8 pm CT.

Jane the Virgin (The CW, Season 4B) Jan 26

Will we see Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) reunite their old flame in the rest of season 4? I mean c’mon, they even share a child together and have been through so much! Jane the not so much virgin is an amazing mother who has finally finished her book but does not seem to be finding love at the moment. Hop onto your televisions on January 26 to find out what happens next for this telenovela comedy on The CW.
