Manhattan’s well-heeled ‘do gooders’ rang in February 1 by throwing an epic fundraiser benefiting Yellowstone National Park.
A glass of wine to save a moose? It’s not that simple of course, but funds from the annual Yellowstone National Park Young Patrons Benefit went to further connect the oldest national park with its future visitors.
Co-chairs Arielle Patrick, Jackie Rooney, and Alice Ryan teamed up once again to host this year’s party, which was held at midtown hotspot Lavo and featured an open bar of Ilegal Mezcal, Archer Roose Wine, Stella Artois , Yellowstone Bourbon and Triple Eight Vodka by Cisco Brewers . Guests enjoyed small bites like mini pizzas, sliders, tuna tartare and cannoli for desert. There was also a silent auction, tunes by DJ Lenny Emery and enough eye candy to last us through the weekend. Yes, it was that kind of guest list.
Patrick, who stunned in a Mestiza New York dress, gave a speech towards the end of the evening thanking guests for their continued support – before encouraging the crowd to make their way to the afterparty at club Avenue.
Because, there are always more drinks to be had and more moose to save.
Yellowstone Forever is the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Forever Young Patrons works to build a new model of partnership with the National Park Service, one that will engage more visitors and future stewards than ever before. The opportunities that Yellowstone Forever Young Patrons provides—to experience, connect, and contribute—are the first steps in a lifelong journey for people who want to preserve the park for generations to come.
