Wrangler Launches Their Most Sustainable Denim Collection Ever

It was denim heaven at Pier 36 at the Kingpins show as people gathered to celebrate Wrangler’s indigood denim collection. Indigood consists of a foam dyeing technology that eliminates water usage by 100% and uses 60% less energy than the traditional conventional denim dyeing method.

The event featured local popup vendors appreciating the direction of sustainable fashion and it’s a positive impact on the environment. Not only was there entertainment, but it was also accompanied by a Shake Shack truck and an outdoor style barbecue food selection.

The senior director of sustainability, Roian Atwood shared “its been a long development to get a fabric indigood dye without water, but we’re finally there and it feels like a real revolution to make denim without impacting the planet the way we have in the past.”

Not only does this new technology save water and energy, but it also maintains its rich color while being environmentally friendly yet fun. Wrangler has created a movement with this new line which is part of their icons collection that includes a mix of light and dark wash jeans, shirts and jackets. Hopefully, this inspires other fashion designers to produce more sustainable clothing in the future.
