USA Previews ‘Unsolved The Murder of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.’

Find out what really happened to Hip Hop’s biggest icons.

Last weekend USA held an exclusive preview of their new biopic series Unsolved. Countless documentaries, films, books and television shows have tackled this topic, but never quite like this. From learning more about the relationship between Biggie and Pac to finding out more about the actual police investigations, or lack thereof, Unsolved tackles new ground that will leave Biggie and Pac fans wanting more. The intricacies of their cases will surprise everyone and the truth will finally be revealed.

The series begins with a conversation between Biggie and his mother, in which Biggie reveals that rather than traveling to London as planned he was in LA. His mother, Voletta foreshadows Biggie’s fate by saying she doesn’t have a good feeling about him being in LA and from there the story transitions to officers re-openings Christopher Wallace’s case in the mid-2000s. Unsolved depicts two different arcs, the first is mid-2000s LAPD attempting to solve Biggie’s case and the second is 90s LAPD attempting to solve Biggie’s case. With evidence, eye-witness reports, case files, and countless other verifications this show investigates each and every potential suspect.

Following the preview, comedian Andrew Schulz and Charlemagne held a Q&A with actor Bokeem Woodbine, who actually knew Tupac during his life. Bokeem spoke on the similarities and differences between the actor and the real Tupac, stating that one day he felt as though Pac himself was standing before him on set. Bokeem also spoke on the LAPD’s indifference as a whole, but how this story was able to be told and investigated thanks to the dedication and perseverance of a few good cops. Bokeem also promised us that the series would, in fact, reveal who shot Biggie, and to keep watching in order to find out.
