‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Returns to Netflix Friday

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” returns to Netflix for its highly anticipated second season.

It’s a miracle!  Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns to Netflix this Friday, April 15th for season 2.  At 12:01 pm the show’s 2nd season will be available in its entirety.  This season, like the first, contains 13 half-hour episodes.

This season will see Kimmy find her identity and leave her past as an Indiana Mole Woman behind.  Ellie Kemper (Kimmy) says, “I think there’s a little bit of soul-searching in the second season [for Kimmy].”

Titus follows suit with his pursuit of a love interest in the show’s second season.  According to Tituss Burgess (Titus Andromedon), “Titus has a love interest…It’s interesting to watch Titus be vulnerable.”

Jacqueline also embarks on a quest to find herself following her divorce from her wealthy husband.

The second season will host a wide array of guest stars including Anna Camp, Fred Armisen, Jeff Goldblum, Zosia Mamet, and David Cross.  Co-creator and producer Tina Fey will also make an appearance in the second season.  While the roles of some of the guest stars have not yet been disclosed, Camp will portray Deirdre—a rival housewife of Jacqueline. Goldblum will play Dr. Dave—a talk show host with a likeness to Dr. Phil.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt gained widespread popularity in its first season on Netflix in 2015.  The show was watched by an estimated 7.3% of Netflix’s 40.9 million subscribers.  The series’ creators are 30 Rock veterans Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.  The show was picked up for a 3rd season in January.
