Backstage With TRESemmé & Kiss At Naeem Khan’s Fall 2017 Presentation

TRESemmé Stylist Odile Gilbert was focused on creating a sexy sultry look for the girls modeling at Naeem Khan’s F/W 17 runway show.  Gilbert led the charge for creating hairstyles that was sexy and messy at New York Fashion Week.

We were backstage to watch her get the models get ready for the big show.

The theme was “Messiness screams sexiness.” Gilbert created a “messy chignon” hairstyle on her models by using the following products: Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo, Beauty-Full Volume Mousse, Fresh Start Basic Dry Shampoo, Beauty-Full Volume Maximizer, Beauty-Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray.

All Odile Gilbert really needed besides her products were some hair pins and a blow dryer, in order for to create the pinned up-do she  envisioned. Her models looked edgy and romantic at the same time.

Gina Edwards from KISS Products, Inc. created the perfect nails for Khan’s looks by creating a metallic looking nail using a mosaic glitter nail art design. Edward’s used KISS’s ImPRESS Press-On Manicure. The product was so fascinating and cool that the models and others in attendance backstage wanted to take the package home with them.

“The look is striking and perfectly complements the collection’s rocker vibe,” says Edwards. “We just went with it like this woman who’s independent and classy, but is still this very downtown girl.”

To create the look, Edwards first used the imPRESS Press-On Manicure, a one-step gel manicure as the base.

She then took out the KISS Salon Secrets Nail Art Starter Kit for use as a tray and separately poured the bronze, gold and silver confetti into small piles.

Using the flat brush from the KISS Salon Secrets Nail Art Starter Kit, she dipped the tip into a clear nail polish then pressed into the bronze glitter, applying “teardrop shape at the tip and up the side of the nail.”

Edwards used her creativity to create mosaic pattern using the silver and gold confetti glitter, and pressed the products down to secure the design.

She then finished off the spunky nails with the KISS Gel Strong Topcoat.
