At Off The Record NYC, Tres Generaciones® celebrates its 50th anniversary and 150 Years of tequila-making with a tequila-tasting mixer.
The brand celebrated its genesis with the 2023 Tres Generaciones® Añejo using the same recipe of Don Francisco’s legendary tequila, rumored to be the first Añejo tequila ever produced. The 50th Anniversary Añejo comes in a limited edition green ceramic bottle inspired by the Dons’ original 1973 decanter that put tequila on the world stage with other premium spirits of the era.
Upon entry, three different tequilas from the brand were placed on the mat for guests to try. Under each glass revealed the name of the Don responsible for producing that tequila at the time. During our tasting, Tres Generaciones Brand Ambassador also walked us through the creation of each flavor and the brand evolution up to what we know today.
The 50th Anniversary Edition marks the brand’s debut of prestige tequila. “The 50th Anniversary Edition represents the long-standing expertise [that is] unique to Tres and the three Dons who shaped tequila as we know it today,” said Rashidi Hodari, managing director of global tequila at Beam Suntory. “We’ll mark the brand’s 50 years by celebrating everything that the Sauza family worked so hard to accomplish while also carrying on their legacy by championing the same spirit of perseverance in future generations.”
Today, Tres Generaciones continues to celebrate its milestones with a recently launched ‘Familia Tres,‘ a talent collective of world-renowned musicians, artists, and tastemakers that enjoy tequila and embody the brand’s mantra: Fail Twice, Get up Tres.’ Spearheaded by Victoria Monét, each tells their stories within the brand’s content hub and what they love about it most here.
