Top 5 Reasons You Should Go To Wonderland Dreams

Imagine stepping off the corner of 5th avenue and stepping another foot into a totally different world. A world full of vibrant colors, as if it’s from the depths of Lewis Carroll’s imagination. Well, time to make this long, strange trip over at Wonderland Dreams, an immersive exhibit by renowned artist Alexa Meade. Here are our top 5 reasons to check out Wonderland Dreams.

1.) Every inch is hand painted.

That’s right, painted by HAND – from ceiling to floor. Actually, multiple levels of ceilings and floors. Every 26,000 square foot detail is immaculate and it’s all been painted by one magical person.

2.) Fall into the rabbit hole!

Literally. As I mentioned this exhibit is immersive. Walk through the rabbit hole, walk through the maze, join the Mad Hatter at a tea party, sit in the Queen of Hearts’ chair. Alexa Meade’s beautifully painted world is your creative oyster (and the Instagram possibilities are endless!)

3.) You’re a part of the art!

Wonderland Dreams isn’t just immersive, but also interactive. So that means that we’re all mad here and you’re part of the art. There are various points throughout the exhibit that you get to create and and leave your mark on Wonderland Dreams – at various times you get to paint, draw, re-arrange and contribute to the world’s largest painting.

4.) Drink me.

Go ahead, get spirited. There’s a full bar in the lobby with super creative cocktails that will get you imbibed and ready to create! P.S. – the signature cocktails are VERY drinkable. Who knows where you could end up?

5.) Nostalgia overload.

In an era of reboots and creative TikToks, this exhibit allows us all to be creators and lean into a universal childhood classic that everyone can remember. Wonderland Dreams allows the viewer to step in and fully experience a world that they once read about or watched as a child, to spend an afternoon playing and unlocking nostalgic memories. That in and of itself is a gift.

Wonderland Dreams is located at 529 5th Avenue and is open until September 4th, 2023. To learn more about the exhibit, the events there (we can’t wait to go back for Wonderland Dreams After Dark!) and to buy tickets, visit https://www.wonderlanddreams.com/
