On June 2nd, TheKnockturnal was invited to experience a tropical soirée at Tommy Bahama. With countless palm trees and beachy decorations, we completely forgot about the revolting weather outside and transported ourselves to some sandy land in which we could sample mint feta watermelon, and mini tuna sliders.
There was a mojito bar where guests were encouraged to select a fruit of their choice and have the bar tender make a custom drink. The bar featured summer fruits such as pineapple, mango and the usual favorites like strawberries and raspberries. People could also select the flavor of the rum they wanted which also had tropical flavors such as pineapple and coconut.
Drinks were accompanied by delicious bites of refreshing food. Caesar salad wraps, pineapple shrimps, fish tacos, and beef tenderloin hor d’oeuvres were passed around, while people enjoyed the tropical tunes by a live singer/guitar player.
Adding to the entertainment, there was a photo booth with the corresponding sapphire blue beach background; for those who wanted to remember their island adventure.
