TODAY: Taco Bell Launches New and Updated Classic Menu Items

Y’all, Taco Bell brought me to the mothership to preview some upcoming menu items that I bet will bring in diehards and skeptics alike.

Now listen there are some items we can’t talk about till launch, but get into these new items and updates on previous bangers.

First up is a new classic, the Cheez-It Crunchwrap, which now has two big Cheez-It crackers in that bad boy. You can also add on a big Cheez-It cracker on the side. I’m talkin 16x bigger than a normal one. Estoy aprendiendo mucho!

Fun fact, Taco Bell got the idea for this product when one of their food scientists noticed how crazy his kids were for Cheez-Its. He ran to the grocery store and picked up a bunch of different varieties of Cheez-Its, and immediately started experimenting. This product is the result of that super cute story.

Next up was the soon-to-be-world, famous Disha hot sauce, and cheesy gordita crunch, collectively known as the Disha Discovery Box.

I’m a Louisiana hot sauce kind of guy, but this comes in at a close second with sweeter notes, a smokier chipotle taste, and just an overall big impact on the palate.

The recipe came from alt-soul artist Omar Apollo. It’s been passed down for generations and now you can taste this beautiful family tradition.

Taco Bell sent us home with a bottle, and I’m already scared to run out. Black people use a lotta hot sauce, you dig?

This is national but it’s only available for a limited time, so I’d stock up while you can. Or, I don’t know, DM Omar and ask if he’ll send you a box.

For both our readers in Cincinnati, there’s the Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito.

It’s made with slow-roasted Cantina chicken, the all-new Caliente Sauce, lettuce, shredded purple cabbage, freshly prepared pico de gallo, and cheddar cheese inside a grilled flour tortilla.

Motivated by the public’s seemingly endless lust for chicken, Taco Bell has been increasing their cluck-inspired menu items. This was a success, tender and memorable.

Strawberry Passion Fruit Agua Refrescas is 20oz of green tea mixed with strawberry passionfruit flavoring and dehydrated strawberry pieces. This one would’ve hit so hard the first week of Summer, but it’s so damn good nonetheless.

If you’re in Charlotte, enjoy. For the rest of us, we’ll just have to wait or figure out how to make it at home.

Get into it, y’all. Taco Bell is hittin once again and I’m so excited to hear what you think about their new and updated items.
