Concert Review: Thirdstory Lights Up Highline Ballroom

Thirdstory is about to steal the hearts of all the single ladies (and men) out there.

The emerging band, comprised of members Elliott Skinner, Richard Saunders, and Ben Lusher performed a sold out concert at Highline Ballroom last Thursday, and to say people were weeping is not an understatement. Fans were standing on tables belting out the words to their songs.

After a set by opening act LOLO, the three men emerged and began serenading the audience with beautiful covers of songs from Taylor Swift and Drake before breaking out some of their originals like “G-train” and “Grows Old”. Their voices were angelic, their harmonies impeccable and their covers genius, and to top it all off, they had extremely charming, relatable personalities. When introducing “G-Train,” Richard Saunders let fans in on one of the most relatable struggles in New York- going home to Brooklyn on the G-Train after another unsuccessful date.
The band first gained recognition after releasing a cover of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One”, and is now set to release a debut album in December. To watch their covers or listen to their original songs you can visit http://www.wearethirdstory.com/music/
