The Fifteenth Annual Tribeca Film Festival Announces First Round Of Speakers

Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, and Sir Richard Branson are just some of the notable names announced.

The 15th Annual Tribeca Film Festival(TFF), which will take place from April 13-24, 2016 in New York City, announced a new platform, Tribeca Talks: Storytellers, which is a series of in-depth conversation with leading creators taking place at the Tribeca Festival Hub and other venues. Tina Fey and Tom Hanks were among the first to be announced so far, with more to be announced soon. TFF also announced that the Tribeca Film Festival Hub will return to Spring Studios, which will serve as the Festival’s creative center. One of the featured events will be Imagination Day, which brings together some of the most influential, provocative, and creative minds for a day long summit where they will discuss what will happen when our wildest dreams become reality, and what will reality be like in the near future.

This part of the festival will take place on April 19th and will include participants such as Sir Richard Branson, product innovator Regina Dugan of Google ATAP, Second Life and High Fidelity founder Philip Rosedale, VR directors Félix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphaël of Felix & Paul Studios, and STRIVR founder and CEO Derek Belch. The Hub will also highlight Storyscapes, a juried section that showcases groundbreaking exhibits in technology and interactive storytelling. All in all, TFF looks to be extra interesting this year.
