The DC Superhero Takeover

After enticing fans with the spectacular Suicide Squad trailer, DC officials rile the fandom again as they finally release the first look at Justice League concept art.

The concept art was made public in two different venues but the most important one release of information came from a little cinematic special that aired on CW. About two days ago, people got a chance to watch DC Films Presents: Dawn Of The Justice League, which provided more sneak peeks than advertised by DC creative directors. Fans were already excited for the film to present the official Suicide Squad trailer but Warner Bros did not disappoint by also showing new looks at Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and scenes from the Wonder Woman movie. But the highlight of the DC film, other than the Suicide Squad trailer, was the first look at Justice League concept art. Most of the characters that comprise the League are said to appear in the new Batman v. Superman movie, however the full introduction and look at the heroes will be presented through the superhero team’s movie directed by Zack Snyder.

The movie will be split into two parts and dates have been set for both the Justice League movie and the Wonder Woman movie. The sudden release of the cinematic stories of the DC superheroes is all a part of the Warner Bros. venture to create a DC cinematic universe much like Marvel has with their Avengers franchise. One piece of art featuring the key members of the League all together was first released on the DC Films official Facebook page; the page was launched as a part of a 2-part social media launch by DC Entertainment. The first art is quite basic and doesn’t reveal much other about the characters but was just the introduction to each character’s design. It’s worth noting small changes made to some character’s standard comic costumes, such as the Flash. However the short film aired later and introduced more in depth looks and features on heroes Cyborg, the Flash, and Aquaman. In the special DC’s own creative officer Geoff Johns re-confirmed the Green Lantern Corps, which implies that the Justice League movie will have Green Lantern’s character as well despite the lack of concept art released. The movie already reels in the talent of actors like Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller. There have also been hints that Tyrese Gibson will be joining the cast as one of the Green Lantern Corps, but the other actors have not been confirmed or published.

The DCU (DC Cinematic Universe) is establishing its foundation with the Batman v Superman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman movie, which will all lead up to the first part of the Justice League movie. Dates for Justice League movie has been set to November 10th, 2017, within that year fans will also be able to see Wonder Woman.

DC fans are most definitely enjoying all the exciting news but honestly the artwork and videos are enticing to everyone and 2017 will be an interesting year for DC.
