The 12th Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Lineup Announced

Where Brooklyn at? The 12th annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival announced the official lineup with Nas and Fabolous as the headliners.

The annual festival will take place from July 13 to 16, featuring some of the hottest artists in the game right now. Produced by Brooklyn Bodega, Inc and the Bodega Agency, this yearly event has made history in the Borough for years. The four day festival includes an array of events ranging from hip hop exhibitions, film festivals and seminars to “The Big Show” at the Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO which concludes the festival.

Joining the Brooklyn native and the Queensbridge representee is Talib Kweli, DJ Rob Swift and new breakthrough female artist Rapsody with more artists to be announced. The Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest has been known to dish out surprise guests such as Jay Z and Kanye West and artists from previous lineups like Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip. With the tragic losses hip hop has suffered this year from Atlanta artist  Bankroll Fresh to rap pioneer Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest, it would be more than necessary to have a tribute selection. In Brooklyn anything can happen and this one is for the culture.

Tickets for the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival are on sale now, there will also conveniently be a live stream available for those not able to attend.
